The $45 million Shendra plant, which is dedicated to handle the export requirements of the company, is located in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ), close to Aurangabad, approx. 400 km from Mumbai. The plant is the company’s third manufacturing set up in India.
The plant has one BOPP and three extrusion coating lines in order to cater to global demand which is more skewed towards coating films .In fact; the plant will also have a chemical coating and a metallizer line installed by October this year. The BRC certified plant has production capacity of 40,000 metric tonnes of BOPP and 9,600 metric tonnes of thermal laminating films. With this addition, the total installed capacity of the company has gone up to 1, 36,000 TPA for BOPP; 40,000 TPA for thermal laminating films; 5,000 TPA for coated films and 8,000 TPA for metalized films.
