Two fun classes that will help raise funds for the 2014 July 19, 2014, Yoga for Hope event at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Seattle, WA.
Join SHAKTI Vinyasa Yoga Studios as they provide two opportunities to get involved in a smaller venue to raise funds for cancer research through the City of Hope's 2014, Yoga for Hope. This year both Lisa Black and Zak Endicott will be conducting two classes that will include the focus of "Helping with Handstands". You do not need to be proficient in handstands, or nearly even able to invert, to participate. This is a donation based event where 100% of all donations collected will be send to the City for Hope. The event was created to bring awareness to the benefits of yoga practice and to raise crucial funds for research and integrative therapies for patients with life-threatening illnesses. At City of Hope, patients are offered gentle, restorative yoga classes for relaxation and well-being, in addition to traditional treatments. This program has had a profound impact on symptom management and quality of life for patients. Because of your generosity, Yoga for Hope Seattle has raised more than $160,000 to aidCity of Hope doctors and researchers to continue their lifesaving work.
