SAN DIEGO - May 29, 2014 - PRLog -- Carothers DiSante & Freudenberger LLP (http://www.cdflaborlaw.com/) (CDF), a leading California employment, labor and immigration law firm representing employers, proudly launched a yearlong twentieth anniversary celebration in support of Wounded Warrior Project® (http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/) (WWP), a national organization dedicated to raising awareness for and providing assistance to wounded service members and their families.

On May 23, CDF welcomed to its San Diego office guest speaker and 9/11 Pentagon survivor Navy Lt. Kevin Shaeffer at a Warriors Speak special event. Lt. Shaeffer recalled his triumphant survival story on September 11 when American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon, a tragedy that left him burned over nearly 50 percent of his body. Following Lt. Shaeffer’s brave speech, CDF’s San Diego Managing Partner Dave Carothers presented a $5,000 starting contribution to WWP from the firm.

“The Wounded Warrior Project is an organization highly respected by all of our attorneys and staff, many of whom are veterans or have military ties,” said Carothers, who also served in the U.S. Navy from 1975 to 1979 and was awarded the Navy/Marine Corp Expeditionary Medal for services related to Iran. “We are privileged to support such a prestigious nonprofit this year and aim to bolster our fundraising throughout the year with organized group events away from the office and internal charitable efforts within our network of CDF offices statewide.”

In conjunction with its support of WWP, CDF will also unveil a new tagline, 20 Years Protecting Your Time, Protecting Your Dime, and Protecting Your Peace of Mind, which captures the firm’s deep understanding of employer needs and its commitment to delivering affordable high-quality work. The tagline will roll out in conjunction with a new, streamlined website, scheduled to launch in June. The website will also feature a new series of videos, highlighting the new tagline and CDF’s anniversary, within the first month of its launch.

“Since its founding at my home office with six attorneys, to its expansion to 40 attorneys statewide, two decades is a testament to the hard work and team dedication that has made CDF a prominent California employment law firm,” said Marie DiSante, Firm Managing Partner, CDF. “We look forward to celebrating our 20th anniversary milestone with friends, colleagues, clients, the business community and our charitable partners – and to making the next 20 years at CDF as rewarding as the first.”
