LOS ANGELES - May 29, 2014 - PRLog -- America’s Startup LIVE!, a three-day event about entrepreneurship geared to recent college graduates begins Friday May 30 at 6 PM and continues through Sunday, June 1 at Barker Hangar, Santa Monica Airport and provides an array of advice and inspiration about becoming a young entrepreneur, how to set up a business and where to find the capital and resources to do so. Ticket prices range in price from $10 at door per day; $5 for students and for recent grads and free for seniors and available. A portion of funds raised go to a nonprofit youth leadership program. Additionally, America’s Startup VIP exclusive preview party is held Friday May 30, 6 -9 p.m. ($200 or $375 for two) and includes a rare close up view of state-of-the-art product from the world’s most significant technology company, hors d’oeuvres and tasting dishes from Keven Lee’s My World on a Plate, (http://www.myworldonaplate.com) extraordinary wine, private keynote address, networking with hip business leaders, and products for sale from some of Los Angeles’ most creative and successful entrepreneurs.

“An extraordinary number of talented millennials -- those born between the years 1980 and 2000 have weak job prospects,” says Sharon Chen, 30, founder of America’s Startup Expo. “My mission is to help launch entrepreneurs in Southern California and the nation and to help educate young people to learn and grow their businesses along with potential investors. Well over a million and a half college students graduate this month and many will have a tough time finding jobs.”

America’s Startup includes a two-minute pitch stage where aspiring entrepreneurs can pitch their ideas to others and to Chen, whose own family created a multi-million dollar business.

CEO speakers include entrepreneurs Brock Pierce best known for pioneering the market for digital currency, Adam Swart (Crowds on Demand), Ash Kumra (Dream It Alive) and Michael E. Napoliello (Radar Pictures).

Panels include “The Future of Entrepreneurship,” The Bitcoin Debate,” “Entrepreneurship From a Woman’s Perspective” and a discussion about how to name a product, service or business, and Hollywood technology. About Sharon Chen -- Founder Sharon Chen, 30, grew up in a family of vigorous entrepreneurs and graduated from UCLA where she majored in Business Economics and Accounting. She worked with Citigroup’s investment banking group and then turned to manage the mergers and acquisitions sell-side of her family’s business. After work in the nonprofit arena, Chen graduated with an advanced degree from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. Chen is founder and producer of America’s Startup.
