By: Windtalker Music “Inductees into the hall of fame include those who believed in the importance of the trail from its inception and then set out to prove that hiking from Maine to Georgia was not only possible, but enjoyable," said Larry Luxenberg, president of the Appalachian Trail Museum Society. "Hiking the trail’s 2,184 miles is itself a badge of honor. Being inducted into the hall of fame is the ultimate recognition for an Appalachian Trail pioneer, maintainer or hiker." This year’s inductees includeA. Rufus Morgan, Charles R. “Chuck” Rinaldi, Clarence S. Stein, and Pamela A. Underhill From 6:00-7:00pm, during the cocktail reception that precedes the banquet, popular Native American flute player and 2006 Appalachian Trail thru-hiker, Randy “Windtalker” Against a backdrop of dramatic photos of the Appalachian Trail taken by his wife and thru-hiking partner, Georgia “Mom” Harris, "Windtalker's" Audiences throughout the mid-Atlantic area acclaim “Windtalker’ "Windtalker" For years, "Windtalker" The banquet and Hall of Fame inductions begin at 7 p.m. The cost of the reception and dinner is $30 for museum members and $40 for others.
