PRLog - May 29, 2014 - MIGDAL HAMENORA ST., MODIIN, Israel -- Amblyopia, commonly called as the lazy eye, can lead to vision loss. The parents need to take notice of this seriously in the early years of a child. The lazy eye can be effectively treated with the help of eye exercises. The Amblyopia therapy helps in strengthening the eye muscles.

There are several exercises which are recommended by the eye therapists the world over to help you improve your vision. The eye patch form of treatment is primarily meant for balancing the vision ability of both of the eyes. The patient is required to wear the patch for some time so as to ward off the dependence of the weaker eye on the stronger and help it achieve its own strength.

Training the vision is another effort in this direction. When the stronger eye is covered with the patch, the other eye can be trained. Tracking, rolling and focusing are the important trainings which are helpful in strengthening the eye muscles.

During the rolling training, the weaker eye is rolled in the clock-wise direction followed by anti-clockwise direction.

During focusing training, the patient is asked to concentrate on one object and change the distance from time to time. This is done slowly and repeated several times. It is very beneficial in strengthening the eye muscles and promoting the vision ability to connect to the brain.

During tracking, the lazy eye is focused at an object by maintaining the object at the same distance and moving it slowly from one side to the other, diagonally, up and down from both sides.

Focusing on small objects can also effectively treat Amblyopia. This can be done through reading small prints. This exercise should be done at least for an hour daily on regular basis. The dominant eye is covered with the patch and the weaker eye is made to read the words in a book. You can also try doing puzzles and games on the magazines. This exercise is then repeated with the other eye.

Although sticking to the computer screen for a long time is not advisable, but the vision therapy computer games can help in improving the neurons in the rain controlling eye function. The video games do not give the desired results so it should not be confused with the vision therapy computer games.

Many people are known to have achieved amazing results simply by following the lazy eye exercises or Amblyopia therapy without the help of artificial lenses or eye surgery. These eye exercises can effectively improve vision at any age; even in the people who suffer from weak eyesight due to growing age.
