As Lindsay, the firm’s director of operations, explained, “We have chosen this foundation because we love helping children in our community as much as we can.” The nonprofit’s mandate is to make the wishes of children with life-threatening diseases come true. “We hold the Make-A-Wish foundation close to our hearts for the opportunities they give to children who would otherwise not be able to receive them.”
Make-A-Wish Michigan grants more than one wish per day for children in the community in an effort to change their lives forever. The process of making wishes starts with a referral from medical professionals, friends, and family members of the child. The organization then collects medical eligibility information in order to determine the diagnosis of a life-threatening medical condition.
From there, a member of their wish team visits the child to find out what their wish is, guiding them as they envision what it would look like. Finally, the wish is granted as the organization creates an unforgettable experience driven by the child’s creativity.
Past granted wishes have included helping a boy with leukemia have a day as a police officer and making it possible for a little girl to swim with dolphins.
Proof Management Invites Others to Support their Fundraising Efforts
Proof Management’s goal is to raise a total of $500 for Make-A-Wish. “Eight of our team members will attend the walk to support the cause and we are feverishly using our skills and contacts to raise money! We cannot wait to see by how much we can surpass that goal!”
Proof Management is very close to reaching their goal and has established a web page where they are taking sponsorships for their Walk for Wishes. While they have already encouraged their family, friends, and clients to support their efforts, they invite anyone else in the Farmington Hills community to get involved in support of this great cause.
