European College of Hypnotherapy Offers Hypnotherapy Training Courses

May 28, 2014 - PRLog -- The UK hypnotherapy career training college,The European College of Hypnotherapy, has announced that since self-regulation has arrived in hypnotherapy, a student may become a practising hypnotherapist through this College in either of two ways:

1. Attend a ten-day intensive hypnotherapy course over a fortnight (ie the weekdays), PLUS one subsequent weekend (totalling 81 hours) that enables the student to obtain a Certificate in Hypnotherapy and join the GHR (General Hypnotherapy Register) as an Affiliate. An amount of home study (30 hours) is required, including reading, internet study, etc. The student will be assessed throughout the course by Dr Hearne. On attaining the Certificate, the student may then obtain insurance and set up your hypnotherapy practice. It’s a valid, pragmatic, route.

However, students must be aware that requirements may come along in the future that all hypnotherapists in the UK must have completed a full Diploma course. The College may, at such a time, be able to train the student up, by arrangement, and take into account the student's previous training with the College.

2. Attend the full professional Diploma in Hypnotherapy course – meeting the agreed Core Curriculum and Learning Outcomes as mapped to the revised National Occupational Standards for Hypnotherapy, and thereby rendering the student eligible for Membership of the GHR and Registration with the prestigious CNHC. The Diploma in Hypnotherapy course consists of a ten-day Intensive course over a fortnight (ie the weekdays), PLUS one subsequent weekend (81 hours - i.e. exactly the same classes as for the Certificate course), PLUS three weekends (3 months apart), totalling 121½ hours. On this 3-weekends Diploma course, after the Certificate course, there is a substantial amount of home-work (300 hours) – involving reading, internet study, case histories, essays, etc (and exams at the end), for the full Diploma in Hypnotherapy. With the Certificate of Hypnotherapy he or she will have attained, the student may well have started practising as an Affiliate of the GHR (General Hypnotherapy Register).

Between the 3 weekends, The College will contact the student (by Skype or phone) to monitor his or her progress.

The student may sit the exams whenever he or she feels ready, within a year from the start of the initial Certificate course.
