Free health and safety forum will look at business continuity management

LONDON - May 28, 2014 - PRLog -- IDENTIFYING all of the potential risks to the operation of a business and then drafting a plan to deal with them is called business continuity management (BCM) and all organisations should be practising it.

Cardinus Risk Management is holding a business continuity management forum at its London offices onJune 23, 2014 to help companies to better understand BCM and learn how to identify all the different risks that may threaten their operations.

Modern businesses face a range of threats, from relatively minor and common events like power failures or transport disruption through to catastrophic weather events and terrorism.

Resilience is often an element of the checks carried out by auditors, regulatory bodies, trading entities and customers. The forum will explain how BCM can be demonstrated to third parties.”

The day-long event will be split into two parts: the morning session (0930-1230) will be for those who have little or no knowledge of the subject and who wish to know more about what it means and what it involves; the afternoon session (1300-1600) is designed for those that have some knowledge or experience of the subject and who want to know more or improve what they already have.

Attendees to the morning session will acquire enough knowledge to benefit from the afternoon session, so enjoying a very productive full day forum.

Presenters Ian Crabb and Allen Johnson have more than 40 years’ experience in BCM and the highly interactive forum will include case examples that real people have faced in real life situations and will include samples of decisions made and their respective impacts. Attendees will take away valuable knowledge and guidance on implementing effective business continuity management programmes.
