Announces All-Star Faculty for
The Broadway Artists Intensive
July 14-August 2
Students (Ages 12-20) Will Learn Directly From Experienced Broadway Veterans
Including Smash Star & Tony Award Winner Christian Borle
(West Palm Beach, FL – May 27, 2014) The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts today announced an all-star faculty for this summer’s The Broadway Artists Intensive, a by-audition-
The faculty for The Broadway Artists Intensive is comprised entirely of Broadway veterans with the combined experience of more than 50 productions on the Great White Way, including:
+ Christian Borle, star of both Smash and The Sound of Music on NBC, who won a 2012 Tony Award for Peter and the Starcatcher. He originated roles in Broadway’s Legally Blonde The Musical and Monty Python’s Spamalot, and appeared on Broadway in such shows as Mary Poppins, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Amour, Jesus Christ Superstar and Footloose. Mr. Borle is coming in to teach a day of master classes and hold a “talk back” session with parents.
+ Annaleigh Ashford, the Tony Award nominated star of Kinky Boots, Wicked, Hair and Legally Blonde, who has also appeared in films and on TV (Sex in the City, Smash, Law & Order, Nurse Jackie).
+ Nora Brennan, the casting director for all children in the multiple Tony Award winning Broadway production of Matilda, and the winner of the CSA ARTIOS Award for Outstanding Casting of a Broadway Musical for Billy Elliot The Musical.
+ Greg Graham, the choreography consultant for the new revival of On The Town coming to Broadway in the fall.
+ Patricia Phillips, star of Broadway’s Phantom of the Opera, who worked with Stephen Sondheim and Audra McDonald for the PBS production of Sweeney Todd, and a member of the voice faculty at NYU.
+ Jackie Bayne Gillman, who appeared on Broadway in South Pacific, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Ragtime, among other shows.
+ Jason Gillman, who starred opposite John Lithgow in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
+ Steve Freeman, Broadway music director and conductor currently working on Matilda.
+ Cara Kjellman, who performed on Broadway in Billy Elliot The Musical and 42nd Street and can be seen in the current film Fall to Rise.

Audition tapes came from as far away as California from young people wishing to participate in The Broadway Artists Intensive this summer at the Kravis Center.
