DESTIN, Fla. - June 3, 2014 - PRLog -- A region known for its burgeoning artists and innovative festivals, South Walton will once again host Digital Graffiti June 5-7. Set in the beach community of Alys Beach famed for its iconic white walls and Moroccan-inspired Caliza Pool- digital artists from around the globe will compete for thousands of dollars in this one-of-a-kind competition. After the sun has set all goes dark except for colossal glowing, fluttering and kaleidoscopic images projected onto the walls and walkways of Alys Beach.

An enigmatic blend of sight and sound, famed DJ’s coordinate electronic tunes to the ever-changing images. The only projection-art show in the world, Digital Graffiti attracts digital artists, filmmakers, musicians, interactive designers, photographers and celebrities. Art, technology and architecture enthusiasts are invited to peruse the nighttime extravaganza and stay to explore the growing number of art galleries in nearby Seacrest Beach, FL and Seaside, FL. Garrett Realty Services will be offering a variety of accommodations for festival goers.

June 5th will also mark the start of the Grayton Beach First Thursday Art Walk at Grayton Artist Collective. Running from June 5th to September 4th, galleries will extend their hours to show new works while other shops around Grayton Beach will offer extended-hour sidewalk sales. Grayton artists are renowned for producing some of the quirkiest art around with a focus on positivity. Also beginning in June, Gulf Place Town Center will begin its Third Thursday Wine Walkabout for the summer months. The third Thursday of each month from 5-7 PM the Artists of Gulf Place will offer tickets to a wine walkabout accompanied by hors d’ oeuvres, live music and giveaways.

The Artists of Gulf Place are known for beach-inspired art, handmade jewelry, and pottery. A popular spot for visitors enjoying a Seagrove Beach vacation or anywhere along 30 A, Gulf Place also features weekend entertainment and children’s activities year round.
