She was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina and earned her Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in Psychology from North Carolina Central University, where she graduated at the top of her class. She then went on to obtain her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and Psychological Services from Clark Atlanta University. CJ values giving back to the community and consistently volunteers her time at charitable organizations and events. She served on the board of Sporty Girls Inc for 6 years.
