PRLog - May 27, 2014 - HOLLYWOOD -- Actress Dawna Lee Heising was interviewed by host Ron Brewington on Pepper Jay and John Michael Ferrari’s internationally broadcast television show “ActorsE Chat Show” on Friday, May 16, 2014 in Hollywood, CA. Brewington was inducted into the Broadcasters Hall of Fame in Akron, Ohio on November 4, 2007 along with his twin brother and broadcasting colleague, Rudolph Brewington. Ron Brewington studied aviation mechanics at Aviation High School, and joined the United States Navy after graduating in 1964. Brewington earned a certificate in Journalism from UCLA in 1985; a B.A. in Broadcast journalism from California State University, Long Beach; and a Masters of Arts degree from Harrington University, London, England. He served for seventeen years as the Los Angeles bureau chief for American Urban Radio Networks, covering the Democratic National Conventions in 1980 and 2000, the 1984 Summer Olympics, the Rodney King trial and the subsequent rebellion and both O.J. Simpson trials.
As president of B&B Productions, Pyramid Productions, Silver Dollar Productions and Ron Brewington Productions, he is the producer of the nationally syndicated three hour tributes to the late Marvin Gaye: “Marvin Gaye: Pride and Joy”and the sequel “Marvin Gaye: Prince of Motown”. He produced “Labor Day Soul Jam”; “King: A Celebration of the Man and His Dream”; “Back to the Roots: A Soul Music Celebration”; “A Man Named King”, “Merry Soul Christmas”; and “Street Scene”. He also writes, produces and hosts the two-hour “R&B Superstars Series”. Brewington is the voice of the NAACP Image Awards, Heroes and Legends Awards, Hollywood Black Film Festival and Black Talent News Awards.
Dawna Lee Heising won a 2014 Best Actress Award for her role as Naomi Perkins in Jared Masters’ “Teachers’ Day” from Frolic Pictures at the 2014 Mockfest Film Festival in January. Heising is the CEO and host of “Eye on Entertainment” and won a 2013 EOTM Award for Outstanding Talk Show Host. Heising is the current Miss SortFlix International 2013-2014. She previously won Ms. World 2008; Ms. Universe 2009; Mrs. California United States 2000; Mrs. American Achievement 2001; Miss Los Angeles Chinatown; Miss Orange County Universe: Miss San Francisco Universe; and Miss California Hemisphere, among other titles. Heising has a B.S. in Business Management and MBA from Pepperdine University and is the vice president of marketing for SpotSync LLC.
