At the depths of the recent recession, Emperitas founder Luciano Pesci, was a graduate student in Economics at the University of Utah. Relying on his professional and academic background, he began teaching engaged-learning courses and bringing students, faculty and organizations from the community together to tackle real-world research problems. After four years, 40-plus client projects and hundreds of students trained, he started his own private venture…Emperitas.
