The history of Darkmoor is rich and interesting, having been horse loves all their lives, Cai and Emma bought a Shire cross Clydesdale around several years ago, not long after deciding to get him some company, a mare named Tullymore Leonie a Clydesdale.

These two were charming together, and as often is the case with horses, you always want more of them!

Within another six months, and eight months after the original stud arrived, another four mares and a stallion were now part of the Darkmoor family!

Not long after this, Darkmoor Shire Horse Stud began.

Breeding horses primarily for enjoyment, the Darkmoor team focus on temperament and conformation, with a end goal of producing life long partners for their owners, excellent horses that are versatile enough for fun and work!

With 3 beautiful studs, perhaps the pick of the bunch is Da Vinci who earlier this year won 1st Place Stallion and Reserve Champion Shire at the Goulburn show. He also finished as 2nd place Colt (under 2 years) at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
