NEW YORK - May 23, 2014 - PRLog -- May. 23, 2014 - NEW YORK – This is the brainchild of actor entrepreneur Edvin Ortega and director John Wagner who met while performing at Rye Playland. These longtime friends have performed for sold out crowds and now bring this award winning show to Long Island, New York. Larger Than Life show dates are May 26^th, June 27^th and August 12^th.

About Larger Than Life

With over 20 years of experience is the entertainment industry, together Edvin and John set out to start the ultimate boy band tribute show, bringing back the hits of artists the likes of Backstreet Boys, New Kids On The Block, 'N Sync and 98 Degrees! They also feature classic hits from The Temptations, Jackson5 and more. Before establishing himself as an actor on such shows as Blue Bloods, The Following and Orange Is The New Black, Ortega was known as an energetic singer/dancer, and gained rave reviews performing across the country. He is also known for being a very talented DJ and MC. The Cuban born actor has also been a host for The Walt Disney Company. "We are excited to bring our show to Adventureland in Long Island, it’s a perfect fit for the park!"

John Wagner has choreographed and directed shows the likes of Hairspray, Willy Wonka, Grease and many more. A Talented dancer/singer John practically grew up in the entertainment industry. He has been performing from a very young age and is well known for producing high quality shows across the USA.

"Larger Than Life strives to light up that spark, and bring back the good times that - deep inside -never truly left our hearts.” The duo has also teamed up with JB Management, an International company representing stars of music, stage, screen, and professional sports.

Expect to see many more themed shows coming from this team including a Motown Spectacular, Broadway Revue and a Rock and Roll Extravaganza just to name a few.  This top notch productions can currently be seen in theme parks, resorts, cruise lines, and of course on tour worldwide!

Larger Than Life will premier in Long Island, New York on Memorial Day 2014 and it promises to electrify the crowds at Adventureland like nothing before.

The show will feature creators Edvin and John, as well as a great cast including New York natives Esjae and Kevin (among others). Expect to see great singing, dancing, costumes and a lot of surprises!
