Boston-Based MET Group Expands to Maryland

May 23, 2014 - PRLog -- (Bethesda, MD)  - Kathy Sidell, owner and creator of the successful MET Restaurant Group is gearing up to open another restaurant in Fall 2014.
“MET Bethesda” is confirmed as the newest addition to Westfield Montgomery Shopping Center. Although this is the first location outside of the state of Massachusetts, Sidell’s newest venture is sure to include many of the old favorites from her other locations.
The new 6,000 square foot restaurant at 7101 Democracy Boulevard in Bethesda, MD will be located across from the new ArcLight luxury movie theater (also opening Fall 2014). The 200+ seat restaurant is themed to be a traditional take on The MET Group’s appreciation of mixing sophistication and elegance with comfort and warmth.
While the menu is still being designed, it most likely will host several MET classics such as the duo of tuna and salmon tartare, rigatoni Bolognese and an array of chopped salads which they are known for. The restaurant will also boast a wood burning grill where offerings including a quality selection of steaks and iterations from their "burger bar” will be cooked.
The 40-seat bar will host a from-scratch cocktail program and a menu featuring many of The MET Group’s well-known cocktails such as the blood orange martini and the house-made sangria. A new twist to the MET Bethesda restaurant will be their on-tap-martinis!
