Ashley Russo recognized as a Lehigh Valley Woman of Influence

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - May 23, 2014 - PRLog -- BETHLEHEM, PA (May 23, 2014) – Ashley Russo, President of ASR Media Productions and co-host of the Emmy® award winning television program, The PEAK TV, was recently named one of Lehigh Valley’s 2014 Women of Influence by Lehigh Valley Business. Awards were presented Wednesday during a luncheon at ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks in Bethlehem, PA. The honorees will also be highlighted in an upcoming supplement to Lehigh Valley Business magazine.

“It is an incredible honor to be recognized as a Women of Influence and to be part of such an accomplished group of women.  I am truly humbled,” stated Ashley Russo. The Women of Influence award honors the Lehigh Valley’s most dynamic women. An independent panel of judges selected the honorees based on their dedication to business, leadership, professional and personal accomplishments, community involvement, and advocacy for women.

A true renaissance woman, Ms. Russo’s business acumen, leadership, interests, and commitment to community are wide-ranging.  From her Emmy® award winning television show and her role as an Executive Producer for educational programming on PBS39 to volunteerism and as an accomplished horseman competing in this year’s Devon Horse Show, Ms. Russo is a passionate and dedicated professional and community leader.

Ms. Russo is President and Executive Producer of ASR Media Productions, creator of meaningful media such as The PEAK TV, Lehigh Valley’s premier lifestyle program featuring informative and inspiring stories that educate, motivate and encourage viewers to participate, seen Sundays on WFMZ-69; Roey’s Paintbox, a creative arts series airing on PBS39; upcoming documentary Sweat Effect: Larry Holmes’ Road to Recovery; and Fireflies Yoga, a music and movement series in development for PBS39.  Ms. Russo is also active with, and serves as a board member for, many area non-profits such as United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley, Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce Non-Profit and Business Council and The Auxiliary of St. Luke's Hospital.

After graduating from New York University, Ms. Russo worked as a producer on NBC’s TODAY show, Bloomberg L.P., and The Weather Channel.  In addition, Ashley worked as a producer, writer, and media consultant for numerous national publications including Cooks Illustrated, Prevention, Women’s Day, and Weider Publications, as well as specialists Donna Richardson, “Mr. Fix-it” Lou Manfredini, and Christine Dimmick.  In 2013, ASR Media Productions was established to fill the need for high quality video production that focused on collaboration, and to give a visual voice to the region.
