Follow on Google News | Mick Tyas, 40 yr. rock 'n' roll engineering veteran, releases his access all areas memoirMick Tyas aided major rock bands with "sound" throughout the world. His memoir / biography shares adventures, antics and foibles of performance arts and traveling shows as well as many technical details relative to the business of sound.
By: DonnaInk Publications, L.L.C. Regarding his impending title release, author Michael (Mick) Tyas shares . . . "I wanted to write this book way back in the early 1990s. I knew my wildest and most lucrative years in the music industry were behind me at that time, even though I was still very active in the business working prestigious gigs. "I have been very lucky to be able to experience events shared in my memoir during my career. Most of my work history involves activities only a very small sample of the population were able to experience. For many years, whilst touring people have asked me, 'How did you get into this business? How did you learn how to do this job? What’s it like working with rock stars and famous people? Do you talk to them? What are they like? How can I get into doing what you’re doing?' "At the time, these questions were difficult to answer because my job didn’t seem like such a big deal to me back then. I've written this biography to provide answers to those questions and more. Since most people aren’t able to get Access All Areas passes to top rock shows. And, they aren't able to meet their music idols, nor are they able to be flown about the globe to stay in the best hotels while being paid generously, I feel obliged to give back and share the facts about day-to-day life in the business. I also want to tell people what it is like to wake up every morning and be so excited by the day's 'work' ahead. Whether it was London, New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo or Sydney, the excitement was always with me every single day regardless of issues and the episodes relative to the job, which I presume happen in every profession. "There’s back stage stuff, there’s personal stuff, there’s good stuff and there’s bad stuff. There's also professional stuff and unprofessional stuff. However, none of that mattered, going through it all was the best adrenalin fuelled roller coaster ride ever. I was very lucky." Ms. Quesinberry, and DonnaInk Publications, L.L.C., are proud to represent Mr. Tyas and his accomplishments in bringing his memoir / biography to fruition.
