Village of Islandia Honors Local War Veterans at Its Memorial Day Ceremony

What:          The Village of Islandia will host a Memorial Day ceremony in front of the memorial at the Veterans Memorial Triangle, located at the intersection of Old Nichols Road and Johnson Avenue. Mayor Allan M. Dorman, who served during the Vietnam War, and local elected officials will be on hand to recognize local war veterans, who will place ceremonial wreaths at the memorial.

Where:          Islandia Veterans Memorial Triangle

         Old Nichols Road and Johnson Avenue, Islandia

When:          Saturday, May 24

         10 a.m.

Directions:
    LIE to Exit 58 South (Old Nichols Road). Go down Old Nichols Road for approximately 0.6 mile. Triangle is on the left.

Photo Ops:    Mayor Dorman joined by local elected officials and veterans’ organizations. Local officials and war veterans bringing the wreath to the memorial.
