Child Abuse Prevention Center Raises $100K to Help Children Threatened by Family Violence

ORANGE, Calif. - May 22, 2014 - PRLog -- The Child Abuse Prevention Center, Orange County’s leading not-for-profit exclusively aimed at preventing child abuse, hosted its 16^th Annual Bright Futures Celebration on May 17, 2014 at the Newport Beach Marriott, Newport Beach, California.  More than 300 business and community leaders joined together to raise $100,000 to prevent child abuse for at-risk families living in Orange County.

Wells Fargo was the Gala’s Royal Sponsor and Capital Group Companies was the Prince Sponsor. Princess Sponsors included Littler, William Blair, Nile Capital, TWC, and Crescent.

Duke Sponsors included Armstrong/Robitaille/Riegle, Columbia Management, Katie Koster, the Los Angeles Kings, Brandywine Global, Hughes Marino, Trendzitions, Athena Wong, the University of Notre Dame, and Jewell Family Foundation. Ms. Wiswall was honored by the Center’s Executive Director Scott Trotter for her dedication to the cause. She is managing director, consultant relations, Crestline Investments and a board member of the Public Employees Retirement System, appointed by John Kitzhaber, Governor of Oregon.

“We are incredibly thankful for the outpouring of support,” Mr. Trotter said. "Without the tremendous contributions of so many sponsors, supporters, and volunteers, our Bright Futures Celebration could not have been a success.  As a result of the funds raised, the Prevention Center can continue to provide child abuse prevention education programs to Orange County families who are at the greatest risk of abuse."
