Summit Group Joins Forces with Dell and Goodwill Industries International

SILVER SPRING, Md. - May 22, 2014 - PRLog -- Summit Group, a local DC Metropolitan area marketing company serving thousands of clients with their promotional needs, teamed up with their client Goodwill Industries International to participate in the Dell Reconnect program. The program encourages consumers to recycle their old computer equipment of any brand, working or not, to one of Goodwill’s 2,000 participating locations (http://dellreconnect.com/locations.php) in the United States or Canada. Goodwill makes certain all items are refurbished or recycled responsibly – so beyond donating goods, there’s nothing one needs to worry about.  According to Dell’s website, “since 2004, we’ve kept over 250 million pounds of e-waste out of landfills” which is an astonishing amount and something we wanted to continue supporting by donating 30 computers, 10 monitors, 3 printers and 2 fax machines.

We greatly appreciate both Dell’s and our client Goodwill’s commitment to environmental sustainability and are thrilled that we were able to be part of this initiative.   Mark Becker, our Division President who spearheaded the donation commented that, “Summit Group is proud to participate in such a worthwhile program. This is a win win for Summit Group, Goodwill and Dell.  We are especially happy to support one of our customers in such a great way.”
