Earlier this year The Pinder Legal Team, www.PinderLegalTeam.com, announced its First Annual Community College Scholarship to Increase Awareness of Distracted Driving at various Baltimore County High Schools. Applicants were required to submit: (1) an application; The Pinder Legal Team is proud to announce the winners of its First Annual Community College Scholarships worth a combined $1,500.00: Kristina Smith Parkville High School Riyaben Patel Parkville High School Jameson Bontuyan Franklin High School Samuel Grodnitzky Franklin High School Edward T. Pinder, Esq. began his Parkville legal practice in 1994 and since that time he has served as the Commissioner of Parkville Girls Softball, President of the Parkville Recreation Council and served on the Board of Directors of the Parkville Carney Business Association, among numerous other volunteer activities. According to Mr. Pinder, “the Pinder Legal Team is a community focused law firm and these scholarships continue our commitment to the local community by making college more affordable; and helping increase awareness of students and adults to one of the leading causes of motor vehicle collisions and fatalities.” Jason A. Plotkin, Esq. joined the Parkville business community in 2012 and quickly made an impact in the community. He recently became the President of the Parkville Carney Business Association. To further increase the awareness of distracted driving, Mr. Plotkin has volunteered to present a program developed by EndDD.org to students of several area high schools. The program includes a PowerPoint with slides and powerful videos in an effort to reach students who are or soon will be driving and warn them of the dangers of driving distracted. According to Mr. Plotkin, “presentations are currently under consideration by several Baltimore County High Schools,” and he encourages parents, students and teachers to contact their school administrators to request a presentation.
