Mr. Subs is Rewarding Good Behavior on Twitter with Free Subs

Exchanging pleasantries, being generally positive and foul language avoidance on Twitter is winning hearts, minds and free food for some Mr. Subs fans

May 22, 2014 - PRLog -- Mr. Subs (www.mrsubs.com) was founded by three college friends that all graduated from Rutgers University at about the same time. Opening their first location at 100 South Plainfield Avenue in South Plainfield was the culmination of a goal of business ownership that began in their waning days on campus.

Since then, they have grown their vision to include three other locations at 1832 Paterson Street in Rahway; 1048 Livingston Avenue in North Brunswick and - their newest location - at 2674 Route 130 in Cranbury. The latest in an area that surely needed more affordable food choices, given all of the businesses and active adult communities in the immediate area.

Lose the 4 Letter Words and (possibly) Win Free Food

Mr. Subs does most of its customer outreach through Social Media, because its management knows that this is where so many of its "sub lovers" often hang out.  It is on FACEBOOK https://www.facebook.com/mrsubs, TWITTER www.twitter.com/mrsubs and INSTAGRAM http://instagram.com/ilovemrsubs where you'll most often find "Mr. Subs" chatting with its favorite customers - many of whom are young adults in high school or college.

"Mr. Subs is cool with talking about current music, fashion and eating trends with its fans, but we frown upon tweets and posts that use bad language or say mean things about others. We want to be good role models for our young adults and remind them that what they release to the world when they Tweet and Post can be seen and may be judged by employers, teachers and other people, who are important in their lives," shares Marc LeVine a Mr. Subs' Social Media presence.

LeVine goes on to explain that Mr. Subs reads many of its fan's tweets and - each day - selects a few of them to reward with free food, based on their merit.

Unless You Have Something Nice to Say, Don't Tweet

"If you are saying something nice about somebody else; being generally positive about life and avoiding the use of foul language, we may offer you a free half sub or other food of similar value. Sometimes, though, we may offer something free to help correct a negative behavior, especially if a nice sentiment includes a four letter word that sours it a bit. This becomes a teaching moment for us and we try to use the reward as a way to step in and point something out.  It's our way of being socially responsible in business," further explains LeVine.

Mr Subs is already recognized for its community fundraising efforts and also would like to do its part in helping to enforce good Social Media etiquette. Rewarding good online behaviors is one way to make a difference on the Web.
