International law firm Kennedys to run aviation seminar in Dublin

Aeropodium presents the aviation seminar of the international law firm Kennedys to be held on 4th June 2014 at the Convention Centre Dublin in Ireland.

LONDON - May 22, 2014 - PRLog -- Following the success of the previous seminars in Dublin and Dubai, the main theme of this event is technical aspects of aircraft leasing.  The discussions will include the themes of the condition of the aircraft during the lease term, asset management during the lease and beyond, power by the hour agreements and maintenance reserves explained, and maintenance on aircraft and engines.
The presentations will be given by Dick Allewelt of Germania Technik Brandenburg, David Chamberlain of Kennedys, Gareth Delany of ORIX Aviation, Aoife O’Sullivan of Kennedys, Chris Pelly of TES Aviation Group, Godfrey Ryan of AerData, Thomas Schmid of Intrepid Aviation Ireland, Phil Seymour of IBA, Michael Walshe of Kennedys, and Roger Whipp of Kennedys.
The condition of the aircraft during the lease term will be the first topic to be explored at the Kennedys aviation seminar.  The presentation will include the issues of managing the delivery of the aircraft, inspecting the aircraft, planning and managing the redelivery, demonstrating compliance with the redelivery condition, and ensuring a smooth transition of the aircraft between lessees.
Asset management during the lease and beyond will also be explored with a focus on maintenance and repairs during the lease, insurance coverage issues, rights of lessor on audit and information rights as well as aircraft records and impact on residual value.
The seminar will include the theme of power by the hour agreements and maintenance reserves explained.  The presentation will explore how these agreements typical work, why the lessor needs maintenance reserves, how maintenance reserves are calculated, and what the benefits for lessors and lessees are.
Finally, the interplay between power by the hour agreements and maintenance reserves will be discussed with a focus on the theme of maintenance on aircraft and engines.  This session will explore the issues of agreeing appropriate levels of reserves, managing the reserves, correlation between power by the hour agreements and lessor maintenance reserves, and entitlement to any reserves or credit built up on a sale, finance or lease return.
