The Public Services (Social Value) Act has been in place for over a year with local authorities implementing the provisions of the Act and developing good practice. Capita’s National Third Sector Commissioning Conference is timed to review how the Act has been interpreted, examining innovative outcome-based commissioning models that are delivering a social return on investment.
It is essential that local authorities use commissioning models to guide decision making about how their financial resources are used effectively. The Government is also supporting the increased focus on public service innovation, by launching the Delivering Differently fund. The conference focuses on improving partnership working with the third sector to enable the most effective delivery of services, with both financial and social benefits.
