PRLog -- The Psychology and Psychotherapy Research Society creates an open access e-journal to bring together psychotherapy professionals from around the world. May 19, 2014 - E-Journal of Psychotherapy Research, a new online journal available to psychotherapists and academics around the world, has launched. The open-access, non-profit website is designed for short precise papers. It has been created to be a way for international psychotherapists to share their unique methodologies. In contrast with similar e-journals, E-Journal of Psychotherapy Research includes no advertisements on their open-access platform. Psychotherapists from all areas of the world are able to contribute to the current database of information, and they are able to come here and learn what other specialists in their field are doing in their own locales. E-Journal of Psychotherapy Research is a single site where established professionals and those who aim to become psychotherapists can meet, share, and learn. E-Journal of Psychotherapy Research’s very first issue includes an interview with Dr. Matteo Selvini, who is the e-journal’s editor. In the exclusive interview, Dr. Selvini speaks about new intervention models being used at the Mara Selvini Palazzoli School, a well-known family therapy center. Dr. Selvini points out the importance of experimental studies and hopes that the research being done in the future will provide comparison of varying methods of psychotherapeutic intervention. A social sharing site for psychotherapists to collaborate on their differing methods, the success of E-Journal of Psychotherapy Research is contingent upon the contribution of readers. Psychotherapists are welcome to submit their articles or review the site’s content. Readers are able to interact by leaving comments per article about any concerns, opinions, or questions they might have. E-Journal of Psychotherapy is currently reaching out to academics and professionals who would like to submit their short and original papers. As an international collaboration among psychotherapists, E-Journal of Psychotherapy Research is quickly growing as a leading resource for those wishing to become psychotherapists, current students, and professionals who wish to smartly collaborate and advance their standings in the field.
