Asteron Life Appoints New National Key Accounts and Group Risk Manager

SYDNEY - May 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Asteron Life has appointed Daniel Waller to the role of National Key Accounts and Group Risk Manager.

Reporting to Asteron Life’s Executive Manager Mark Vilo, Daniel will be responsible for leading Asteron Life’s relationships with licensees and Suncorp Life’s Group Risk business.

"Daniel most recently held a senior key accounts position with a major life insurer. He has a strong pedigree in sales leadership, AFSL and adviser relationship management and marketing across the financial services industry, with an excellent track record in delivery," Mr Vilo said.

"Daniel has broad expertise in multiple disciplines across life risk, asset management, platforms and banking. In particular, he has an exceptional reputation for solid relationships with the senior management teams of our AFSL partners.

"With Daniel leading our National Key Accounts team and Group Risk business, it gives us the opportunity to look holistically at growth opportunities to drive our strategy for high performing partnerships into the licensee marketplace."

Mr Vilo said the appointment demonstrates the strength of the Asteron Life business and brand in attracting talent of Daniel’s calibre.

Prior to joining Asteron Life, Daniel held various sales leadership roles within AXA, ING, ING Bank and OnePath.

Daniel’s appointment is effective 1 July.
