Maui Dad Apparel, is a local-family run business that produces creative clothing for the whole family. Maui Dad is also very community minded and in honor of the National Child Abuse Prevention Month, they teamed up with the Friends of the Children’s Justice Center and donated proceeds to the FCJC from the sale of their unique clothing. In addition to the special sale at Whole Foods, during the month of April, portions of online sales were donated to the FCJC , and for every “like” on Maui Dad Apparel’s Facebook page, a $1.00 was donate to the FCJC as well. The total contribution was $500 to the Friends of the Children’s Justice Center. Laurence Muleh, founder of Maui Dad Apparel is also a father, artist and Maui High School art teacher. Laurence stated, “We really enjoyed being a part of the Friend’s mission this month and we love knowing that our business will help make a difference to the children In Maui.” Visit Maui Dad apparel on at www.facebook.com/ The Friends of the Children’s Justice Center of Maui is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1989 by a non-partisan group of community and business leaders, who were concerned with the social welfare of children who have suffered from abuse and neglect. The mission of the FCJC has three parts; to provide assistance to abused and neglected children in Maui County, promote the prevention of child abuse and neglect and finally to support the Children’s Justice Center of Maui.
