Integr8 empowers those organisations in need through IT

PRLog - May 20, 2014 - JOHANNESBURG, South Africa -- Leading South African managed ICT services provider Integr8 has provided much needed technical equipment, including PC equipment and other Information Technology (IT), to two community welfare organisations: The Refilwe Project and Oliver’s House.

As registered Section 21 organisations both The Refilwe Community Project and Oliver’s House are dependent, in part, on the contributions of the public and sponsorship from businesses.

The Refilwe Community Project is a Johannesburg-based community development initiative established to care for abandoned and vulnerable children.

Oliver’s House is an East Rand-based non-profit organisation, founded in 2001. It provides care for underprivileged and vulnerable children. The organisation runs an Educational Learning Centre and Computer Training Centre as part of its community services portfolio.

Integr8 has developed a strong CSI and socio-economic development program which seeks to provide much needed support to organisations that are focused on community upliftment, education and skills development.

The Company believes that corporate South Africa, especially the ICT sector, has a role to play in helping to develop much-needed technical skills and utilise infrastructure to improve systems and overall operations.

The objective is to contribute to organisations that make a difference in people’s lives, particularly those who are focused on the care of children.

In the case of Oliver’s House, Integr8 donated computer equipment towards the organisation’s training centre. Similarly the Company provided equipment to help meet the IT requirements within The Refilwe Community Project’s Homework Support Centre.

Bennie Strydom, Chief Sales Officer at Integr8, says the Company has a proud track record of contribution to organisations and its CSI program continues to make a meaningful and lasting difference to communities.

“We have always held the view that Information Technology is about empowerment of the user. With a fast emerging generation of digitally aware and tech savvy people, communities can accomplish a lot and be sustainable for the future. We are proud of our partnership with these two very worthy causes and fully support their integration of technology to strengthen their operations,” he says.

Leadership representing both organisations have thanked Integr8 for their support and commended the Company for its ongoing commitment to the country’s youth.

In communication to Integr8, Helen Barker, Director at Oliver’s House, says, "Looking around us at the difference your support has made in the lives of our many beneficiaries, we know that to be true. Each year the number of beneficiaries that benefit from our services increases and without the support of our loyal donors this would not be possible. Someone once said that whatever we possess becomes of double value when we share it with others" before looking around us..."
