The house was a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with more than 1700 sq ft. It was built in 2004 and has had 2 owners since the original builder. The house was on the market for 52. It was listed at $169,900 and sold for $164,000.
"The buyers and the seller were very happy. I always like to see people leave the closing table with a smile." comments Madore.
The seller did a lease-back from the buyer staying in the house for an additional three days in order to close on their new house and move. This is a common practice in Amarillo.
"Sometimes these things can be very stressful when you have to move out and move in on the same day. You can't always to a lease-back but when you can usually both parties relax a little," continues Madore. "It also gives time for the seller to have the house cleaned and the carpets cleaned if they need to be."
