The free event is being held in partnership with the Tring and Berkhamsted Safer Neighbourhood Teams and the family-run car dealership Roy Chapman on Wednesday 18 June from 7 - 9pm.
PCSO Katie Braham and PCSO Lorraine Horsted from the Berkhamsted and Tring Safer Neighbourhood Team, will be sharing their top safety tips on areas such as preparing for a long journey, driving skills, personal safety, driving on motorways, what to do in the event of a breakdown and lots more.
Technicians from Roy Chapman Ltd will be giving a practical workshop demonstration about basic car maintenance and ensuring your car is safe on the roads. There will also be the opportunity to win a free car service.
PCSO Katie Braham says: “This promises to be a really useful event which will provide women with a whole host of knowledge and skills to ensure they are safe when out and about on the roads. I’d encourage people to book a place – it’ll be very informal and a fun evening!”
“It’s really important to us that we look after all our customers”, said Justine Chapman, Director at Roy Chapman Ltd. “Our Ladies Evening is free to anyone who wishes to learn more about looking after their car between services and to increase their knowledge of staying safe on the roads. Our 2012 event was really well received and we’re expecting a lot of interest in this workshop.”
