DECATUR, Ga. - June 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Her handle is Writer With Dogs. Author Barbara Barth lives with six rescue dogs from her local animal shelters. Dogs can be found in most anything she writes. Barth's memoir The Unfaithful Widow, a finalist in the 2011 USA Best Book Awards, tells how dogs rescued her. She adopted five dogs in nine months after her husband passed away. Add that to the dog that already owned her - she had a six-pack at home. The title Writer With Dogs seemed to fit. She loved it so much she bought the dot.com and dot.net.

Barth likes to promote other authors. When she had an antique store, The Little Shop Of Arts and Antiques, it became a haven for artists and writers, with free events for them every weekend. After the shop closed in March 2012 she started her Book Talk blog to continue the tradition of supporting writers, especially those that are self-published.

Writer With Dogs blog was started in 2010 and has hosted book reviews, animal shelter stories, contests, and many of Barth's own dogs. She published a one-time e-zine in December 2010 Writer With Dogs:Where Dogs Meet Art. The focus for the magazine was dog rescue groups and vintage dog art. Barth is also an avid art collector, as well as dog advocate.

Now Barth is changing the focus of her Writer With Dogs blog. Her blog header reads . . . my stories, your stories, and their stories. And she wants to share your stories on it.

"I am a sucker for a book with a dog on the cover," Barth tells anyone who asks her what she likes to read. "And dog memoirs, along with garden stories, and home remodeling books, are my favorite subjects."

Barth is looking for authors who would like to write a guest post about their dogs, what they are currently writing, and in exchange, will link back to the author's sales sites and media sites. Photos are a must.  You don't have to write about dogs, just have a dog, or two, or more at home and share a special story.

"I love dogs, love to promote authors, so this seemed like a winning combination to me! I hope others will be excited and want to join me on the blog."

To contact Barth link to Writer With Dogs blog and go to the tab How to Share Your Story for full information. There is no charge to be featured. Barth reserves the right to publish stories that fit the nature of the blog.

Writer With Dogs has a new facebook page, started June 9. Like it to follow all the news. Meet Cary Robinson, author of the award winning dog comedy mystery novels, The Dudley Files, the first author to kick off the new facebook page. He is also featured on the blog.

Barth has just released her first work of fiction, Danger In Her Words, a romantic thriller set outside Atlanta, Georgia. "There is only one dog in the book," Barth confessed, "but Daisy steals the story." She is currently working on a memoir on her life with dogs.
