Halff Associates Names Derek Downs as New Vice President

RICHARDSON, Texas - May 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Halff Associates, Inc. (Halff), one of the nation’s leading engineering/architecture consulting firms, is proud to announce that Derek Downs, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, has been named vice president.  Mr. Downs serves as a team leader and project manager in Halff’s architecture group.

“Mr. Downs provides clients with carefully thought over design solutions, well-coordinated documents, and attentive service. His ability as a leader ensures that projects are carefully coordinated, on time, and are in keeping with each client’s needs and wishes.  We are proud to promote him to vice president,” said Chief Operating Officer Roman Plugge.

Mr. Downs joined Halff upon receiving his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kansas State University in 1995.  He manages projects for clients such as Ben E. Keith Beverages and developers including Perot Development and Bandera Ventures.  Mr. Downs is a Registered Professional Architect in the State of Texas. He is also a Construction Documents Technologist, a Certified Construction Contract Administrator, and a LEED Accredited Professional (BD+C). He is active in the Texas Society of Architects and previously served on the Sustainable Environment Committee.
