Generis CARA upgraded to IGC Brava! Enterprise 7.2

Generis CARA interface for EMC Documentum now offers the new Brava! cross-platform HTML5 client with vector viewing, and other improvements.

PRINCETON, N.J. - May 16, 2014 - PRLog -- SCOTTSDALE, AZ – May 14, 2014 – Informative Graphics Corporation (http://www.infograph.com/) (IGC (http://www.infograph.com/)®), a leader in viewing, collaboration and redaction technology, and Generis, maker of the CARA user interface for EMC Documentum, are pleased to announce major enhancements to CARA, both in the current 3.5 version and in version 3.6, which will be released in May 2014. This highly configurable interface and business-rules engine offers new viewing and collaboration features, courtesy of IGC Brava!®:

The cross-platform HTML5 client offers vector viewing for crisp views at tight zoom levels plus the ability to set CAD layer visibility and view object attributes.
Brava users can now sign documents electronically. Add an electronic signature, initials or a professional seal to a document with Brava, then create a PDF of the signed document.
Checkview, new in version 7.2, streamlines repetitive form reviews, helps to improve accuracy and ensures no areas are missed. Use Checkview to flag form areas requiring review. Reviewers step through each area and must approve or reject each area to move on to the next.
Enhanced text comparison features help users find differences more quickly by collapsing large areas of unchanged text and highlighting only the lines with changes. Users can change the highlight colors used to indicate differences to accommodate users with color-blindness.
Publish files to PDF/E for engineering and technical documentation, and to Fast Web View, a format that restructures PDF documents for page-at-a-time downloading from web servers.

“Brava offers the first vector-based HTML5 viewer, providing users on PCs, Macs and even the Apple iPad crisp, readable views,” said IGC CEO Gary Heath. “Generis CARA adds a set of useful features around Brava, including Annotations Manager, which allows users to display markups without opening the documents, making the process of updating content after a Brava review more efficient.”

“Customers across a variety of industries benefit from the CARA integrations with Brava,” said Generis CEO James Kelleher. “The features available in Brava 7.2 bring a rich new set of possibilities to the table for our customers.”
