“The second Goodwill location, off of Kings Highway, will be more convenient for our shoppers who are closer to 75 in Port Charlotte,” says Martin Kidder, the store’s district director. “Also, the revenue generated in our stores supports our programs and services so expanding our store locations will allow us to serve more people.”
The expansion of a new store created 24 new jobs for the organization including several supervisor positions.
“We are committed to serving the Port Charlotte community,” says Kidder. “This store will assist in that.”
Attendees of the opening weekend (May 22-25) can enter for a chance to win an iPod Nano. A total of four winners will be chosen.
