HGRBS’ Major Overhaul of Lead Paragraph of Preamble – (Home Improvement)

Since 2009, the header for the Preamble of HGRBS has experienced minor revisions. But to be in tune with more of what the network represents, it was necessary do a major overhaul. This entailed eliminating the entire lead paragraph……   then re-building it consistent with the broader scope and concerns of the network for its constituency: American homeowners, homerenters, and others with aspirations towards living in real independent and detached houses to call “home.”


By consensus, it was judged that if the network was to become even more effective reaching out to and working with its inherent constituency, then the focus should be enhanced to inspire others to make better and wiser policy decisions relative to their home maintenance and improvement objectives.

Although home maintenance and improvement fraud remain key concerns, these are now identified even more today as normally the backlash of not just a lack of information but as much the consequence of having a shortage proactive and informed guidance for residents to fortify themselves to enthusiastically apply what they already know, as the need arises. Invariably, the issues most critical in this matter are:

1.      Residents continuing to seek guidance and encouragement for developing more insight with regard to the necessity knowing how to establish better home policy  [This facilitates a passion to avoid making regrettable project-related mistakes]

2.      Preparedness to apply that better home policy without hesitation

These are now regarded among the most important concerns of the network. Hence, the overhaul of the lead paragraph of the HGRBS Preamble was an inevitability.

“HGRBS(since 2009) is a national home services network of volunteers against home improvement fraud in America. We represent the interests of our homeowners and homerenters of single-family and similar structures against corrupt residential contractors and other threats in this area.”

Today

“HGRBS(since 2009) is a national home services network of volunteers. We support the rights and privileges of American homeowners and homerenters towards safer and more effective home improvement policy.”

Improvements consistent with the lead paragraph in the body of the Preamble are under way as well.  In fact, they have already been made. However, there are other websites where that has yet to be done. Hence, there will be a phasing out period as the changes are made from website to website.
