FAIRFIELD, Calif. - May 15, 2014 - PRLog -- TLW Public Relations will, once again, partner with the Solano College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to present a workshop detailing the importance of having PR as part of your business plan and how business owners can be their own publicist.  The event will take place on Friday, May 23, from 3 pm to 5 pm, in the SBDC conference room at 360 Campus Lane, Suite 102, in Fairfield. Those interested in attending should register on the SBDC website at www.solanosbdc.org (http://www.solanosbdc.org/) or call the organization at 707-864-3382 to register. The pre-registration deadline is May 21st. However, walk-in registrations will also be accepted on the day of the event.

Subjects covered will include tips on how to develop story ideas; the differences between public relations and marketing and the important role they both play in attracting and keeping customers; the use of Internet media; the components of a good press release; how to develop a good PR plan; and what to expect when you hire a PR professional, among other topics.

“We’re happy to have been asked, again, to present this workshop,” says company consultant Deloris Roach.  “The first one was very well received by the business representatives who attended and got excellent evaluations from participants.  We hope to get another eager crowd.”
