PACE Certification Inc. Awards 200th PACE School Certification in the US

May 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Company paves way for international program adoption, rewarding energy efficiency and environmental improvements

Miami, Fla., June 15, 2014 /News release/ -- PACE Certification Inc. Florida, the leading provider of Residential, Commercial, Hotel and School Certification in the US, today announced it has certified it’s 200th solar and wind school in the nation. This is a major milestone for PACE Certification and signifies a new era credible, affordable and verified environmental certification.

The National PACE Certification Program began as a way to recognize thousands of energy- and water-efficient commercial and residential buildings that funded their improvements through one of the many PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) programs available in more than 30 states, 100’s of counties and 1000’s of cities throughout the United States.

For the many commercial and residential buildings that have already invested in renewable energy and environmental improvements without PACE funding, the simplicity and affordability of this credible non-profit Environment Certification make it the ideal way to recognize their accomplishments. Partnering with groups that create efficient affordable housing, energy companies, and those groups that promote wind and solar for schools, has allowed us to certify homes and K-12 schools at no charge. We are especially proud of our work with schools and universities that are using renewable energy and environmental improvements in educating future generations on the value of living sustainably.

These programs are proving to today’s property owners and tomorrow’s leaders that the return on environmental investments is not only financial, but has major benefits for our economy, health and national security.

Our 200th PACE Certified School The Dilcon Community School in Winslow Arizona (made famous by the Eagles song ,”Take it Easy”) has implemented both wind and solar technologies . You can track the power production of their skystream 3.7 wind turbine on the Wind for Schools – Department of Energy Wind exchange website  http://apps2.eere.energy.gov/wind/windexchange/schools/pr... .

Spencer O. Sterling the Facilities Manager says the HYBRID 2.4 KW WIND TURBINE & 1.4 KW SOLAR TRACKER BOTH MOUNTED ON A 45' MONO POLE tower along with 6 solar panels do the job and provide a great learning tool.

PACE Certification Inc.’s comprehensive no charge certification program for schools promotes programs like The DOE’s Wind for Schools Program, solar for schools and  Individual schools efforts to create community involvement and showcase examples of renewable energy that works. That same education and awareness created a ground swell of interest in environment certification that has led to over 6400 homes, buildings and businesses becoming qualified for PACE Certification. According to the SEIA (Solar Energy Industries Association) there are over 445,000 operating solar installations in the US with 130,000 new ones in 2013 alone. In addition the Energy Department reports over 69,000 wind units operating in the US up 300% since 2006. PACE Certification at 6400 qualified homes, buildings and businesses has only tapped 1% of the existing prequalified market. Kurt Morrow Director of PACE Certification says we've been consistently impressed with the enthusiasm of the students involved in these schools as well as the response of the parents and business communities to the introduction through the schools.

"This is a milestone event for the PACE Certification who expect to add another 500 schools before the end of the year and expects a big announcement about international expansion in August 2014. Similar growth is presently being experienced in their no charge residential program and the affordable commercial and hotel programs.
