Experient Honored by MPI-Chicago Area Chapter

TWINSBURG, Ohio - May 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Experient (http://www.experient-inc.com/), the source for integrated meeting and event solutions, is proud to announce that it was inducted into Meeting Professional International – Chicago Area Chapter’s (MPI-CAC) 2014 Hall of Fame, and that its very own Char Shada, CMP, Director, Strategic Account Management, and Melissa Hahn, CMP, Meeting and Events Manager, were the recipients of the Planner Member of the Year and Tomorrow's Leader awards. The awards were presented during the MPI-CAC Annual Recognition Gala on Tuesday, May 13 at Venue One in Chicago’s West Loop.

The Hall of Fame-Organization award was bestowed to Experient for its significant contributions to the awareness, professionalism and growth of the meetings industry, as well as the time and resources it has given both locally and internationally to MPI.

Shada was honored with the Planner Member of the Year award for being an exemplary representative of the meetings industry as well as her involvement in MPI and civic activities. She has been an MPI member since 2001 and has served in many roles on the Board of Directors, including President of the chapter where she was instrumental in maintaining unsurpassed budget and membership numbers during times of funding changes. She was also a member of the group involved in the creation and launch of the chapter’s marketing and communications team in 2009.

Hahn was recognized with the Tomorrow's Leader award for her contributions and dedication to the Chicago Chapter. She has demonstrated a vast commitment, enthusiasm and outstanding ability to lead others over the past year. Hahn will take a position on the MPI-CAC Board of Directors as Director of Education Conference for the upcoming leadership year beginning July1. She has been an MPI members since 1998.

The Chicago Area Chapter is one of the founding chapters of MPI and has close to 1,000 members. The Recognition Gala is held in the spring each year, and recognizes the contributions, talents, accomplishments and dedication of its members and industry colleagues.
