A Perfect Day of Pampering! 1st Annual PINK Pamper Expo & Fundraiser

NEW YORK - May 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Greetings,

It is our wish to extend a warm thank you to all who attended POYED by Velvette and Pretty with a Purpose 1^st Annual PINK Pamper Expo & Fundraiser.  Hundreds of people gathered at the beautiful New York City loft, Grind on Saturday, May 3, 2014 in support of an extravagant Pre-Mother's Day event.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:

The ladies of BKS1 Radio Only Women Wear High Heels’ show captured pink carpet arrivals while interviewing guests. They highlighted an electrifying day complete with pampering, shopping, networking and educational platforms. Young divas were treated to arts and crafts along with manicures and pedicures while our adult attendees participated in fitness, healthcare, fashion and beauty advice, along with an array of additional “Hot Topic” workshops from top experts.

Joining in on the festivities was celebrity host MONIFAH, from TV ONE’s top rated show R&B Divas, who delivered a warm and inspiring speech. Celebrity DJ Teal, asseen on the Bravo and Oxygen network created a cheery atmosphere full of energy as she played tunes all day. Guests enjoyed a full day of pampering mother’s got the golden treatment from La Belle Boutique and the little divas received manicures with light make-overs from Little Miss Pretty House of Glam.  Guests also enjoyed a day of shopping with a purpose.  The event was in support of the People’s Resource andDevelopment Association (PRaDA), an organization dedicating to social reform while serving and uplifting low income NYC residents as they strive to break the cycles of poverty.   Co-creators of the 1^st Annual PINK Pamper Expo & Fundraiser Velvette Mattison-Batson and Nerissa Malloy presented PRaDA with a check in the amount of one thousand dollars, a percentage from the proceeds collected from the event.
