Stanford Continuing Studies gets a New Website

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - May 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Palo Alto, CA – Stanford University’s Continuing Studies Department has recently launched a new website, with the help of Bay Area communications firm, AG Design Group.  The new website boasts an improved usability, a responsive design and a functional mobile site.

After a much anticipated arrival, the new website is finally live. “The website has been a labor of love,” notes Emma Walker, Marketing Manager at the Continuing Studies Department.  Stanford began re-designing their website several years ago, however were not sold from a usability standpoint. Subsequently, the new design never launched. In an effort to revive this project, Stanford reached out to AG Design Group for assistance.

“Most of the design work had already been completed, “ notes Arlene Santos, CEO & Creative Director of AG Design Group. “Our job was to re-architect the design functionality, and translate this over to mobile.”  AG Design Group was able to re-engineer the flow, layout and experience of the site, in order to bring the website to life.

In order to make the website truly usable, users need to be able to access and use the website from their mobile devices. With responsive design technology, the website is automatically sized and scaled to each mobile device and tablet. “People are increasingly viewing the Internet on their phones and tablets,” explains Santos. “It is important that users be able view and utilize the site as it was intended to be.”

The website is currently up and can be viewed at www.ContinuingStudies.Stanford.edu. To view more work sample and designs by AG Design Group, visit www.AGDesignGroup.net.
