Jacobsen’s is a big supporter of Northwest authors and has over 100 local author titles in the store. “The Pacific Northwest has great literary talent, authors both traditionally published and self-published call Hillsboro home. This is our 3rd year featuring authors at the Market, and our best yet!” Says owner, Tina Jacobsen.
A tradition in Hillsboro for 32 years, the Downtown Hillsboro Farmers’ Market is a seasonal open-air market featuring fresh local agricultural food and garden products, culinary arts and crafts, live music and educational information.
One of the longest running farmers markets in the Northwest, the Hillsboro Farmers’ Market was established in 1981 and has become a traditional community gathering place as well as a favorite venue for obtaining fresh, local products. The market hosts 100+ vendors and 8 thousand shoppers weekly.
The Hillsboro Farmers’ Market is located on Main Street between 1st and 3rd Avenue and is open every Saturday from May 3rd- August from 8am-1:30 pm and September and October from 9am-1:30pm.
