Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 3 p.m., DJ Applejac will hold his first annual fundraiser at The Sound Table, located at 483 Edgewood Ave. Everybody Loves the Sunshine: An Ice Cream Social will raise money in honor of Applejac’s mother, Bettie Durden, who lost her battle with multiple sclerosis in 2005. All proceeds benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to support research and education.
Ice cream, popsicles and other sweet treats will be served, and vegan options will be provided as well. Cocktails will be available for purchase at the bar. Various items will be up for bid for a silent auction. Those who cannot attend the fundraising event can donate directly to National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Mrs. Durden’s honor online at: http://main.nationalmssociety.org/
