HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. - May 14, 2014 - PRLog -- HOLLY SPRINGS, NC – On Saturday
May 3rd, the Kiwanis Club of Holly Springs
along with Holly Springs Parks and
Recreation hosted the twelfth annual Kids
Appreciation Day (KA Day) at Sugg Farm
Park, a first time for the event at this
venue. On a gorgeous outdoor Saturday
afternoon, the town’s families and business
community came together in near record
numbers to celebrate the accomplishments
of Holly Springs’ students and experience a
day unlike any other. There were games,
crafts, tae kwon do sessions, inflatables,
music, performances, awards, giveaways, snoballs and pizza. Master of ceremonies Mayor Dick Sears presented the Town’s proclamation of KA Day to Kiwanians and summed up the day with his signature quote, “If it’s good for the kids, it’s good for Holly Springs.”

After a performance by the Holly Springs Police K9 team attracted the audience to the stage area, Primrose School students got the day’s program underway with a song and the Pledge of Allegiance. The Holly Springs School of Dance was next with several numbers by over one-hundred kids providing a preview of performances planned for their Wizard of Oz themed “There’s No Place Like Home” Spring Recital.
