Global economic and social developments present a huge challenge for cultural policy-makers, cultural organisations and cooperation partners. The establishment of business management and marketing practice within public and private cultural organisations, the assumption of cultural responsibility by businesses and cultural-political rethinking has opened new development perspectives for the synergies between culture, business, the public purse and media.
