Other highlights of Stephens City include: · The earliest productions of the “Tom Thumb Wedding” play · Community groups like the Scarlet Rebels · The town’s first police car and its first fire engine · The Mudville Fire of 1936 and the Beer Truck Crash of 1949 A portion of the profits from book sales will support the ongoing preservation and historical research efforts of the Stone House Foundation, the town’s privately endowed historical society.
