Anaheim City School District Selects Textbook Management System from Hayes Software Systems

Decision to Implement TIPWeb-IM is Based on Hayes’ Expertise in K-12 Textbook and Materials Management

ANAHEIM, Calif. - May 13, 2014 - PRLog -- Austin, Texas, May 12, 2014 – The Anaheim City School District in California announced that it has chosen to implement the TIPWeb-IM textbook inventory system from Hayes Software Systems. This solution will be implemented across the school system’s 24 schools, which serves 19,000 students.

By upgrading its textbook and material management with TIPWeb-IM software, the Anaheim City School District can anticipate gaining several advantages, including real-time inventory accounting, streamlined material tracking, and greater accountability for and transparency of all textbooks and material across the District, including assignments to students.

To evaluate its inventory control options and find a solution that met its exact needs, the Anaheim City School District created a committee of District staff members involved in textbook management. The committee found that Hayes’ TIPWeb-IM web-based software system best matched their needs, largely because it is specifically tailored for K-12 instructional materials management right out-of-the-box.

With TIPWeb-IM Anaheim City can expect to gain greater efficiency by reducing the number of steps and staff member hours involved in textbook management. Further, Anaheim City is looking forward to managing textbook surpluses and deficits across its schools with TIPWeb-IM’s reporting capabilities, thereby, ensuring that all students receive the textbooks they need, as per the 2004 Williams-Settlement law, without the District needing to make unnecessary textbook purchases. The law requires that all California public schools provide one textbook in four core subject areas for every student for use in the classroom with the ability to take it home to complete required homework assignments.

“We are pleased that the Anaheim City School District appreciates Hayes’ singular focus on K-12 instructional material management,” said Matt Winebright, Director of Sales and Business Development for Hayes Software Systems. “TIPWeb-IM is designed specifically for busy school support staff who expect fast and efficient tools to help them manage textbook and material resources. Additionally, in California our software system helps school districts adhere to the Williams-Settlement by providing them with real-time insight and control over textbooks, so schools can ensure everyone – from county superintendents to parents – that every child has received his or her required textbooks. It’s a big reason why our business is expanding so rapidly in California.”
