Ethinos Digital Marketing strikes Gold and Silver at DMAi Echo India Awards 2014!

Ethinos Digital Marketing added another honour to its list of awards and recognitions, with a double dose of victory at the awards ceremony of the DMAi Echo India Awards 2014, held on May 7, 2014, at Blue Frog, Mumbai. Ethinos won a Gold in the ‘Marketing Effectiveness for Not-for-Profit’ category for its ‘Send Shiva to Sochi’ campaign, for Olympic Gold Quest and won a Silver in the ‘Marketing Effectiveness for Publishing/Entertainment’ category for its ‘NDTV Toyota UCC’ campaign, for NDTV India.

The DMA International (DMAi) ECHOTM Awards, brought to India by DMAi, spot and honour the finest marketing and advertising campaigns on the basis of their originality, response strategy, interactivity and marketing impact.

Ethinos’ ‘Send Shiva to Sochi’ campaign integrated social media, email marketing, content marketing, and a crowdsourced fundraising model in partnership with Ketto, in its digital marketing strategy to generate an online contribution of more than 10 lakh rupees; to fund Shiva Keshavan’s participation in the 2013 Winter Olympics at Sochi.

‘NDTV Toyota UCC’ was a media campaign that involved setting up, monitoring and optimizing a media campaign using various ad types like video, text, display, sliders, etc. on relevant websites, to promote the NDTV Toyota University Cricket Championship, a T20 league format cricket championship among Indian universities. This was a combined initiative of NDTV India and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), to popularize college sports in India and identify young cricket talent.

But what makes this one more special is that both the campaigns we submitted won awards, in categories as diverse as Not-for-Profit and Entertainment, for campaigns in social media marketing, which is more creativity and ideas driven as well as a media buying campaign which is more numbers and targets driven. As a result of winning the Gold at the India edition of the DMA awards, Ethinos’ ‘Send Shiva to Sochi’ campaign is now eligible to bypass the first round of judging at the DMA Echo International Awards, and directly enter the competition as a campaign shortlisted for the second round of judging.

Whether the campaign enthralls the international jury like it did last year, and brings home global recognition for Ethinos Digital Marketing this year as well, remains to be seen.
