PRLog -- For students and staff alike the beginning of the year is filled with anticipation as that first day rolls around. Students prepare to leave summer behind and begin the routine of structured learning; supported by a staff of caring and concerned Colorado licensed teachers. Students from throughout Colorado become a part of this rural ranching community and are valued as those who are within the boundaries. This outreach of providing for Colorado students through the establishment of Branson School Online in 2001 continues to be a priority for the elected School Board and district staff. Students who choose to learn online via the web are supported with the tools, talented teachers, and technical support that guide their success in this online delivery of education. Just like the students in our traditional school; students in our online school have a strong and personal connection with their teachers. Opportunities through-out are provided to meet and have common experiences that result in community building for our online families. Field trips range from hikes to museums, workshops to science fairs, and a meet and greet at the beginning of the year as well as a end of year culmination celebration that coincides with high school graduation. Additionally, throughout the year there are state assessments that bring our online students together and the staff works to build in fun activities/ideas to incorporate during non testing times. Branson is still taking applications for the 2014-2015 school year. Enrollment closes September 8 so do not wait to look into this innovative student focused learning opportunity.
